Adam Short was born in Nairobi, Kenya in the early 60's.
It was a period of great unrest in his home country, but still a time when great adventures were to be had.
In the 70's Adam was sent to the UK for his schooling - it was a long way to go for a young boy, far from the African sunshine and way-of-life,
but it was also a time that nurtured his love of physics and astronomy, and his budding interest in computers.
After completing his honours degree in Astrophysics at London University in the early 80's,
Adam moved to Australia and worked for 20 years in the corporate IT world - for companies such as
Telecom Messagetech, Matrix Telecommunications, Hands-on Systems, Mazda and Coca-Cola Amatil.
His role at CCA took him all around the world, including countries like Austria, South Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines
where he was at the forefront of CCA's emerging technological infrastructure.
From the early part of this century Adam has been out on his own, working from home in Bondi
looking after the computers and technologies of his local Eastern Suburbs community.
Those of you who have worked with Adam over the past 15 years or so, know how knowledgeable he is in those things that are really
important to small businesses and home users. He makes it easy for YOU to understand, and realises that security, usability and stability are crucial,
and that your computers are not only tools of your daily life but also the repository of your photos, important documents
and best of all your cherished memories.
Adam and his family have been part of the local community for many years (his wife grew up in Bondi and his 2 children went to local schools).
You can pop in and see him any time. There are often 10 or 15 computers humming away in his home, being updated, repaired and nurtured back to health.
If you just need a lesson he can provide a tailored tutorial on all aspects of computing from efficient emails, Word or Excel -
to browsing the Internet or selling on any platform.
Adam loves working with our Senior Community, and spends time each month with local Aged Care villages, providing in-house advice.
Adam is happy to offer a Seniors Discount.
So, if you are befuddled by your computer, give him a call - he (and his minions!) speak its language!
